Access for the public (for non-cabin guests)

Boat Launch: $20/launch.  Valid for 1 day only, sunrise to sunset

We strongly encourage all boats be kept out of water for 5-7 days before launching here.  Little Whitefish remains free of invasive species - please help us protect this beautiful lake.

Visitor Best Practices

  • Boat Launch Timing: The café is busiest during breakfast hours. For easier access and less congestion, we recommend using the boat launch between Sunday afternoon and Friday afternoon.

  • Launch Approach: For the easiest entry, come down the road, turn right, and back into the ramp.

  • Payment: The launch fee is $20 and should be placed in the black drop box located outside the cafe

Parking Guidelines

  • When the café is closed, parking is available alongside the building.

  • When the café is open, please park in the river rock parking pad at the back of the property.

Summer Launch Pass

Shoreline Update

Expanded Common Area Summer 2025 for Cabin Guests

The entire shoreline remains a shared space for cabin guests. This spring, we experienced a record-setting ice heave that required significant shoreline repairs. During the restoration, we also took the opportunity to enhance the space for your enjoyment.

Here’s what to expect:

  • A larger open area for relaxing and gathering

  • A spacious beach, perfect for kids to play or for lounging in the sun

    • Expanded sand areas ideal for digging, building, or simply unwinding

    • A newly shaped grassy hill (grass expected to be fully grown in by early/mid June)

Please note: For the best swimming and water play, we recommend heading out by boat to deeper water beyond the wild rice beds.
